Where to Stock Up on Ski Gear This Year

I must admit– I’ve never been a big fan of the snow.

It just seems like an awful lot of time, effort and money to feel cold and wet.

But as a parent, you sometimes need to step out of your comfort zone and nourish your kids with new experiences. Mine have been nagging to visit the snow for years, so this winter– we’re going.

My priority is to stay warm and dry. And I want to get our gear sorted early.

I was going to borrow from friends, but I can’t trust my hell-raisers not to return it in the same condition we borrowed it (that is, not totally trashed).

My frugal alter ego kicked in, and I ventured online to find out where to head for discount gear, only to find I don’t have to head far at all!

I’ve been in the store plenty of times and usually manage to snap up something on special, but this site has some major discounts.

If you’re lucky, you’ll find some Gore-tex on sale. I still have a Gore-tex jacket from a former life as a journalist many moons ago and I can attest they are the best thing when heading out to pre-dawn winter crime scenes and flash floods!
