Australia’s No. 1 destination for genuine discount warehouse sales

Luxury Brand Bargains Hiding at Clear iT

It’s not often that I am on the hunt for something slightly more formal. Let’s face it, once you reach a certain age, the invitations to 21sts, engagement parties, weddings and the like, start to dry up a little. Celebrations with friends are far more modest affairs!

Besides, I have a number of simple, black numbers that I can dress up a little with jewellery to suit any occasion, without having to fork out the big bucks for something I may never wear again.

But a recent invitation to a more glamorous event left me wanting to lash out and buy something new.

I ventured to Clear iT factory outlet in Fitzroy. It is a clothing treasure trove housing oodles of the types of outfits I trying to hunt down. The store is filled with Alannah Hill pieces– a beautiful, delicate, sequin covered sample dress by her was just $180. I shudder to think what something similar would cost in the shops.

There are racks and racks of dresses, tops, skirts and jackets that are massively discounted. Tops in beautiful white or black lace are just $114 (RRP $229). A dusty pink leather jacket is a steal at $100, down from $171.

Shoes and accessories are also heavily discounted– I saw shoes which retail for $289 marked down to $86. Sample shoes are $50 and boots $80. There are headbands for under $20, alongside belts, handbags, purses, hats and fascinators.

Sequins, leather, lace, frills and feathers- whatever your fancy you’ll find it here. And I did, ending up buying a ‘My Femme Fatale’ black leather peplum style skirt for $179 (RRP $349) the ‘Sweet Emotion’ black lace cami top (pic cami), also $179 (RRP $229) and the classic `Woman About Town’ jacket for $114 (RRP $299). The day I visited there was a `spend and save’ on all Alannah Hill. Spend $150, get $50 off or spend $300 and get $100 off– so I saved even more at the register.

Clear iT also features more casual brands including Princess Highway, Dangerfield, Revival and Coo Ca Choo. Dangerfield singlets are down from $38 to just $5 and dresses from $88 to $35. I’m in love with the Princess Highway knits for $39 (RRP $78) and if I had the legs for it I’d go crazy for the shorts for $20. There is just SO. MUCH. STUFF.

And again, there are bargains on top of bargains. During my visit, the store was offering a `buy four, get one free’ deal on everything except Alannah Hill.

A big shout out to the staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful. They really help you try and find what you need, especially if you’re overwhelmed by the sheer choice on offer.

If you’re planning a visit to Clear iT, clear your diary and take lots of change for the parking meter. There’s no such thing as a quick trip here.
