If you haven't already heard, Scoot is the world's newest budget airline, making headlines for its absurdly low flight prices.
The Singaporean-based carrier offers flights to 89 locations, 88 of them being in the Asia-Pacific.
The other one? It's Greece.
The airline is offering flights to Athens, for as little as $375 one-way from Melbourne. They're not dingy planes either, all flights from Australia are on Dreamliners *squeals*.
Scoot has seats available during Greece's peak period, which is from July to September. But they're selling fast, so we suggest you get on it quick.
The flight requires one night's stop in Singapore, which isn't that bad considering Changi Airport was the world's best in 2016 according to The World Airport Awards. Changi is fit out with a pool, a butterfly sanctuary, a cactus garden and complimentary city tours if you find layovers a drainer.
Do know that these tickets do not include checked baggage, in-flight meals, entertainment, pillows or blankets. We suggest you go prepared.
One final tip– Greece has a serious amount to offer, beyond supermodel islands like Mykonos and Santorini. The Peloponnese region and the islands of Skopelos, Symi and Karpathos are merely a few underrated gems travellers commonly overlook. Do your research before you pop over.
So Melburnians, your dreams of travelling to the land rich in grilled octopus, circle dancing and unspoilt beaches are achievable– for under $1000.
These prices are only available until Sunday November 27. Check Scoot out here.
